Formed in August 2003, Eclectic Theory's name describes its music. With the idea in mind to never be categorized into one particular genre, ET constantly strives to write catchy, original tunes ranging in style from hard rock to jazzy funk, acoustic folk rock to blues-driven ballads. In general, no matter what kind of music one likes, they are likely to hear a song that fits their style. Eclectic Theory is comprised of four members: Dan Pete Peterson, Matt McDuffie, Scott Gregory and Steve Hull. Scott and Steve joined the band in April 2005 after the original drummer and bass player left (both on good terms) early in 05. The band has maintained residencies at The White Horse Inn, Joe's Brewery, and Firehaus which are all in Champaign, IL. These weekly shows, along with other local gigs, have built a large fan base for the band. And with an original style that is difficult to describe, ET continues to please old fans and make new ones with every show they play. As of now, Eclectic Theory will continue to entertain fans, both young and old, and write the songs that make them what they are....ECLECTIC. |
