Cassie Conner was first introduced to independent music when she joined the Hum Mailing List in the mid-90's where she was informed that the next town over had a "scene". Intrigued, she explored this scene and has never looked back. She has a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois and currently works at an environmental chemistry lab where she studies risks to endangered species. Her eccentric mix of favorite bands include: Hum, Centaur, Failure, Juno, Absinthe Blind, Radiohead, Grandaddy, Modest Mouse, Rainer Maria, The Verna Cannon, Rush, Yo La Tengo, Pink Floyd, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, The Dismemberment Plan, Atom and His Package, Guided by Voices, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Hey Mercedes, Belle and Sebastian, Faithless, Neutral Milk Hotel, Everybody Uh Oh, Pinback, and The Beatles.
She also plays keyboard in the band Pulsar47.
