Matt Gill (hcmg) - reviewer
Known by my closest friends as Hard-Core Matt Gill, or HCMG if you like, I first became infatuated with the alt-rock movement in the early 90's. Leaning for the more aggressive style of music, I was turned on to punk rock around '95. I've been known to drive multiple hours for shows and act like a 13-year-old girl when I hear about a new band. I'm very into the music scene in general and hopefully one day will earn employment in either promotions or management. Some of the bands that I think just kick ass are: Refused, Weezer, Thrice, Poison The Well, The Used, and Coheed and Cambria. Contrary to my friends' thoughts, I am pretty open-minded when it comes to music. The most intriguing bands are the one that incorporate numerous influences into their sound. My core type of music is easily punk with extensions into everything from emo, hardcore, indie-rock to even metal. I write reviews of albums and shows for the site and try to incorporate as many words that I don't comprehend as possible.
